Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach seeks to reconcile clients’ performance expectations with new social and environmental challenges in a changing world.
It focuses on two main areas of commitment and four responsibilities:
What we do: we promote investment solutions with societal added value.
By combining the requirements of sustainable development with our investment approach, we are strengthening our expertise in risk management while simultaneously identifying new growth opportunities for our clients. This is our economic responsibility.
Who we are: we aim to be exemplary in our organisation and in our operations.
By aiming to be exemplary in our organisation and in our operations, we are committing the firm to improving its management of human resources, reducing its environmental impact and strengthening its bond with society. This is our social, civic and environmental responsibility.
By applying them to our organisation and day-to-day activities – who we are – we aim to improve our management of human resources, to reduce our environmental impact and to strengthen our relationship with society.
The implementation of our commitment is based on constructive stakeholder relations including our employees and representative bodies, our clients and distributors, as well as investment consultants and professional organisations.
Our CSR initiative is part of a commitment to continuous improvement and relies on the sharing of best practice through our involvement in industry initiatives. It draws on the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI), which BNP Paribas Asset Management has signed, and is consistent with the Responsibility Charter of BNP Paribas and its commitment to sustainable development.
An operational CSR committee that reports to our Executive Committee is responsible for co-ordinating the implementation and monitoring of all our CSR actions.
We will report annually on the progress and achievements resulting from the implementation of our CSR programme.
